How to create, improve and maintain knowledge in mechanical sector in 2022

Have you ever wondered about which is the real value of your company? Often, from the inside we struggle to realize it, we are so busy managing the problems of daily routine that we never stop to think.

Today, I would like to bring to your attention a reflection that we have matured in recent months at GSI. Of course, I have already told you about our training-side upgrade with the implementation of a knowledge management system, I will not go into details. However, I believe this has represented a great innovation for our reality.
Our value is to be much more than just producers

We live in a frenetic way, in constant evolution, we often find ourselves facing new projects, never seen before. Customers rely more and more on our consultancy as technicians, to be supported in the development of their projects. The context in which we operate is certainly very distant from that of 30 years ago when I started at GSI.

If asked what is the biggest challenge of this 2022 for GSI, I would surely answer the knowledge. Thirty years ago, to learn a job, there was the most experienced person who used to work side by side with the yunger ones, today this takes too much time.

Of course, the technical school is essential, as is the apprenticeship or teamwork for the growth of junior resources. However, we cannot limit ourselves to this if we want to evolve in our sector and keep up with the needs of the final consumers.

To tailor our knowledge, we started from the need to create, grow and share knowledge.

GSI's idea is to create a fertile environment for improvement, in which everyone can increase and share their knowledge.

In practice, we are preparing to restart in September with a totally new corporate mentality and ready to face the challenges that await us!
