Is the customer always right in mechanics in 2022?
agosto 24, 2022
In these days we almost all return from holiday so I thought it was the right moment to tell you about a thorny topic for all salespeople. We grew up with the mentality that the customer should always be right, let's think about it when we are customers, this is exactly what we want. Over my working years, I have understood that the best answer to this question is not always the most obvious. Of course, it depends on the situation, however it is a giving and receiving of information.
Which is the way we use to manage the preliminary phase of a project?
Over time, I have approached many projects, all different and I have often noticed that there was little clarity in the exchange of technical information. We have based our company philosophy on positivity by welcoming every request in a proactive way. Sometimes, however, it has happened to us that this backfires. So, we decided to thoroughly analyze the incoming requests and do a skimming.
In the last few years, the market has changed, everything is really faster and there are a great deal of possibilities on the market. In response to this we have decided to work with quality, dialogue and without haste. To develop a project where customization is really pushed, it takes time for the preliminary work. Certainly, given our history, we had to take a step forward and become more and more consultants. With the evolution of technology, it is perfectly normal to receive projects with many shortcomings and technical inaccuracies or commercial expectations far from reality.
The recipe for the growth of a company
As a philosophy, G.S.I. understands collaboration as sharing the same rhythm and need. The first phase is certainly to clarify what the customer's real expectationsare and to evaluate together if they can be satisfied by us. I do not just make it a matter of time gained, but above all of an entrepreneurial risk that I decide to consciously take for G.S.I. when I accept a project.
So, is the customer always right? My answer is it depends. If we share the same values and working methods, I am sure that the project will end in the best possible way.
G.S.I. is always next to you to develop your projects, if you need more information or a quotation please contact us.
