Today we hear more and more of sustainable development and urgent issues that I believe affect us all firsthand. As a mechanical sector we have been hearing about emissions reduction and electric motors for some time now.

However, have we ever stopped to think about what the term energy addiction really means? Of course, the most tangible fact for all of us mechanical entrepreneurs is not being able to control this expense and absorb it. If before, totally depending on one country for energy gave us a certain type of stability, today I would say for sure that is what is affecting us most. There are many reasons, first of all is that we cannot control this item of expenditure and therefore adjust prices to re-enter.
2022: the hottest year ever

The year 2022 is considered the hottest ever and will probably not be the first or the last, unfortunately. If this is to alarm us and make us think, we have another problem to manage. Redundancy with temperatures above 35 degrees, even perceived.

Do you know what this means for those who make production?

Already today the delivery times have increased, imagine with the production stop because it is too hot. Italy is among the most active countries in terms of mechanical production; this, means blocking a supply chain in the summer. In fact, a shed with machine tools in our latitudes very quickly reaches 35 degrees perceived.

What to do?

I think that in moments of crisis and difficulty the answer is to react. We have decided to invest from September in a plan that will allow us to fully electrify the roof of the two plants where we have our production. This means being able to create an adequate air conditioning system to ensure a quality work environment.
